Re: T-mobile TP2 TF3D defaults to IE
Thanks DargonBM!
FYI, I've quoted your instructions in their entirety over at HowardForums, with attribution: "Thanks to DargonBM over at the PPCGeeks Touch Pro 2 forums for these instructions on how to change the default browser from IE to Opera." Hope you get some thanks from over there, as well |

Re: T-mobile TP2 TF3D defaults to IE
I did things a little bit differently. I wanted the Internet tab to look like the Touch Pro did, where my bookmarks are listed (not the T-Mobile ones). Here's what I did:
1.) Open Application data folder & delete the file: InternetPortal-en-us.xml 2.) Unzip and Copy the attached manila file, 27c65cbd_manila, to \windows\ Note: The stock file is read only. Use a file utility program such as Resco to remove read only attribute. 3.) Delete the following registry keys (they are not needed): HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\DefaultBrowserIsIE HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\InternetSearchUrl |
