Screen Protector on the TP2

Does the Touch Pro 2 need a screen protector like the old Mogul/6800's did?

Re: Screen Protector on the TP2

I would always use a screen protector. It comes with one in the box.

Re: Screen Protector on the TP2

Considering that the leather case is not always included (TELUS doesn't include it from what I saw), a screen protector is a must !

If the protector included is crap, this one seems to be nice : http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/...ns-shields.php

No case is included... only a screen protector. I'm not too well versed in screen protectors (always had flip phones) but the included one seems alright to me... but it's only been a week.

Don't think this is going to fit some TP2's... like mine on Telus.

Why not ? The one on zagg.com it's a GSM version (because it has the hole for the front camera) but I'm pretty sure it should fit on the TELUS TP2. But It would have a little hole on the top-right corner for nothing.

Anyway, I ordered one (screen only). I'll tell you if it fits or not.

Re: Screen Protector on the TP2

Get a screen protector....I made the mistake with my Diamond...

Used the one that came with it, and the unit was fine....so I figured that I didn't need it. 2 Days after removing the protector, the screen was scracthed in several places (hard to see, but I could really feel it).

Currently, I'm using the screen rotector that came with the unit, and I bought a plastic shell they sold at the Telus store (snaps to the face and keyboard of the unit $14). It does make the phone bigger, but protects all the edges of the phone + keeps the screen protector in place (edges don't pop up.

Just my 2 cents.

Re: Screen Protector on the TP2

Need is a strong word. The Mogul didn't NEED one, and in fact, I never put one on the Mogul I'm using now, for the last year, and I'm a contractor

Re: Screen Protector on the TP2

With a flush screen I'd say it does need one, and as others mentioned it comes with one in the box. Fits perfect and no complaints here. I also picked up the leather Telus case though...much nicer than the two plastic ones they had that left one side fully exposed! Leather case is fairly slim and not at all cheap looking.
