If a lot of the benefits of the TP2 are in the software, won't someone figure out how to install the TP2 rom on the TP?

Quite a bit will probably be ported over. For example, the Energy ROM series has recently updated TF3Dv2 to TF3Dv2.1, and there is available the TP2 keyboard for the TP1.

If TP2 has the same processor and memory as an ungimped TP1, wouldn't the TP2's ROM run better on the TP1 because it has fewer pixels to draw?

I like the bigger screen but I have serious doubts about HTC quality. I think I will wait for Omnia 2 on Sprint.

To all you who don't believe the TP2 is a true upgrade, honestly just stop talking and get in your car and go to a T-Mobile store and ask to see it. Until you have played around with it and felt it in your hands, you have no say here.
