How does the Slingplayer look on the TP2?

I am getting my TP2 Oct 1 (that's when my 150.00 rebate becomes valid), and I am wondering if it fits nicely.

It is a double sword. So far, only used it a few times on the TP2. I can say unlike the Mogul days the picture is smooth which is similar to the TP. Very happy with the performance. The bad news - they are not yet supporting the screen size. Even in vertical mode the picture is small. I plan to go back to the sling web site to see if there is another windows version for a phone with a similar screen size and see if it is improved.

Anyone else solve the screen size issue? All TP2 mobile Sling users should email sling so they know they have a customer base they need to support.

Re: The Touch Pro2 "Must Have" Application List...

The Speedboost application works flawlessly and yes it does increase process speed significantly. You may have issues if you try and run the Speed modifications with some of the memory cleaners like Memmaid so be careful not to run CleanRAM or other apps with the speed app - it will screw up big time (SPECIFICALLY if you try to run these cleaners on a automated system.) I was having problems with this when I first started using it and now only run those programs manually. The Speed mod comes with a mem cleaner too so no need to run CleanRAM or Memmaid anyway.

Another point - don't try to speed increase anything outside POUT and MANILLA.EXE from a systems perspective. Do not mess with the Log files - it will cause the system to crash! Stick with application process acceleration and you won't be disappointed. I have noticed faster loadtimes on Opera, OCS Communicator Mobile, CorePlayer and and quite a few other apps. There is also a few other checkboxes for Battery Hack (increased battery life.) The battery life to date has not been negatively affected as far as I can tell.

is there anything that can increase the overall volume? im not at all impressed with the volume of my speaker phone, or handset earpiece I was using a program in my old touch pro 1 that made the volume way better! Is there a cab/app like that for the touch pro 2?

i think SP looks good in landscape mode, but goofy in portrait. lots of wasted space.
