Pretty sure smartphones/PDA phones don't qualify for that.

The info says 4 requirements must be met:

1.) Premium HTML Browser <check>
2.) Rev A <check>
3.) Launched on or after Sept 8th <check>
4.) Qwerty keyboard <check>

Now, you may very well be right, but the way it reads is confusing if that's the case. I haven't been with Verizon long enough to understand how all of their different plans work. I've always found them to be a bit confusing.

When it's finally hits the web/stores, I'm pretty confident they'll be a little asterisk that says 'Excluding smartphones/BB's'.

Just how my Apache can ONLY have the $45 data plan and not the $30 email & web for smartphone plan. Had that on my Touch Pro, reactivated my 6700 when I sold it and zoooomp, right back to $45. Called and asked if I could stay at the $30 level.... Nope.

Besides.... are you really going to use 25-75mb a month on a TP2? I can't imagine that.

i thought they were doing this because of people using the $15/month V Cast connection for unlimited internet, and will only apply to the basic smartphones that were capable of a V Cast connection. i could be wrong...

Re: VZW TP2 Pics

I guess I just saw the 139.99 price for unlimited data, minutes, and VZ Navigator and got a little excited. That would still be $40 more than what Sprint charges, and $20 less than AT&T, but I see what you guys are saying. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

I think I've used that in a day before lol.

I know people don't like being 'forced' to get a data plan but c'mon.... if you're getting an awesome phone like a TP2 you really are gimping it by not having one.

Yeah, I've always got 2gb+ on my phone each month. Adds up quick when your downloading/surfing/etc while tethered to the laptop.
