Plus, it's funny that you're still going through Assurion. I am on my 3rd XV6800 since the day it was released (the last replacement came last week), and I've never dealt with anyone other than Verizon, and I surely haven't paid any sort of deductible.
I didn't know there was such a "holier than thou" sentiment here. I ripped off no one. I did not lie. I really did need replacement for the 6700 and 6800. The first time all I said was something like "could I get a 6800 instead, as this is already my third 6700, and I had nothing with trouble with it." The second time, last month, I tried three times and wrote a e-mail to corporate.

If you want to blame anyone, blame corporate for caving in.

As for why I still go through Assurion, because it gets results. You are on your third 6800, when you could be on your first Touch Pro. I was on two 6800's, and didn't want a third. I wasn't going to buy a TP even if they didn't give me. Either they, Assurion was going to send me a replacement for my broken 6800, so why not a TP?

What's wrong with Sprint's text messaging? My 4 lines send ~1200 text messages/month, and no issues to speak of. I know you have a good reason to trust their messaging. I'm just curious.

I was with Sprint for 10 years and in the last year of having service with them, my text messages were anywhere from 10 minutes - 2+ hours delayed or more. I also had issues with my phone not ringing & callers being sent to voicemail in areas where I had full signal. It got to a point where it was impacting my business and I was forced to switch. I spent hours on the phone with tech support and swapped out phones many times, trying to resolve these issue. On the other hand, I know what you're saying, because I have other friends with Sprint where messages come through just fine. Then I have others with similar problems as me. All I know is I had 6,118 text messages last month on Verizon, and they all came through instantly. I always wonder though if Sprint has gotten better and am tempted to try them again.

I think I have between 3500 and 4500. It's actually cheaper than more minutes, and a nice way to get a quick message to someone, especially when you are in an environment where you can't make calls.

LOL, I was thinking the same thing. 200 a day, unreal. I'm sure I won't hit 6000 in my lifetime.

Re: VZW TP2 Pics

It just adds up fast. I've met a few people on here over the years that I text regularly. People I've never met, but for whatever reason we have had side conversations and end up being friends. A lot of my text messages are Facebook notifications, and frankly talking on the phone with friends is totally unheard of these days. I use about 1,000 minutes a month but it's all work related.
