Well I just called a VZW rep and she was a sweetheart. She told me that she did see that phone and that it was currently *in process*.

She also gave me this number to call to see when it is available and if I could order one already 888-866-6924

I called it and it asks what kind of Rep you are and for you store code or whatever. I dont have this information so I am not sure why she gave it to me.

I hope this helps out a little bit, but if anyone finds out more information please let me know!

ahhhh... that's better. It's about time too. Glad to say (assuming info is accurate) it's earlier rather than later. I wasn't seriously expecting it until Oct/Nov (knock on wood). Nice price point too. But am I alone in being pretty peev'd that it took VZW so long to put out a decent alternative to the Treo 700, and then less than a year later they drop the upgraded, in-my-opinion-vastly-improved version 2.0? They had better be willing to offer me something pretty substantial in the way of a credit to dent the cost of this after using my upgrade credit on the TP

is it just me or is release on a Friday odd? I don't recall the TP being released at the end of a week like that

I think it's odd too. If it does come out that day, then we will be waiting all weekend for it to show up, assuming they provide next day delivery.

I am getting confused with the date. Is Sept. 11th the telesales date? When will it be in the stores? Sprint release date was the 8th, and i see people got theirs today after ordering it yesterday.

I would imagine so, with store sales the week after? If not, and that is the store date, wouldn't the telesales be earlier? Say, Tues Sept 8th? talk about christmas come early (if that's the case :) )
