I disagree. I dont like the orange techno design on the sprint version, nor the orange keys. I do however like ALL parts of the VZW version (Even the picture of the world, it reminds me to pretend like i'm doing business. But I like that business-ey style personally)

Its all based on opinion, and IMHO, VZW may be a double winner

So for fun today I dropped by the ol' Verizon store. I wandered in looking at their displays and a salesman came by and asked if he could help me...... I asked "so, I read online that that new touch pro was out for verizon and I wanted to get a look at it." He said which phone? I said, you know, that new HTC Touch Pro2. I asked isnt it out for Verizon, I meant the internet said it was, and Tmobile released theirs and Sprint is about to release theirs. As I was asking him he went right into denial mode and all his body language set itself up to deliver me the next line, an obvious lie.......

His head slightly tilted down, shoulders slightly slumped, eyes down and averting direct contact and half of a shallow breath and he said, never heard of it, they dont tell us when those things are coming out, we just walk in and they are here.

Wow did I ever laugh to myself, that is classic kenesics for a lie! But we continued to talk. He asked where I got my info and I said, oh the folks at ppcgeeks were talking about it and the next thing he said was, well, we can certainly get you ready for a BB storm 2. I said, those things are JUNK! He didnt like that too much, got really defenseive...... I said, for what they are they are ok, but they are junk. I pulled out my TP from Alltel (now stuck with Verizon) and he said, what is that (its in a hard case) and I said its what your junky pro should have been like, he just looked down again! (Too funny) I showed him the phone with the psyki rom and that it was running wm6.5 and he said, wow never seen anything cool like that and I said, well you probably wont since Verizon ruined the TP (sorry to those that use it, but I couldnt resist digging in to the guy).

He again asked if I wanted to look into that BB and said, nope, since you have no info Ill go look at the one Tmobile and sprint have out.... Again, he looked down, sighed and I walked away laughing.

Too bad they just wont say what they know, oh well it was fun messing with him.

I did the same thing yesterday. I asked the guy when the Touch Pro 2 is coming out. He goes, isn't that the new all touchscreen windows phone??

Buncha idiots, they sure know how to piss a guy off being so misinformed

I can't believe the lack of knowledge these people have of the products they are paid to pitch. You would think they would be required to learn that kind of stuff. I use to bounce and the managers would make the waitresses take tests on Wine food and beer. They had to pass these tests to keep their job. If that was the case at Verizon they wouldn't have anyone working there. If you are going to sell something you should know more than the customer you are selling it to. (Rant over)

I know "I" was hard on them above but I will say that when I go into a VZW store, I do share my knowledge with them and they are appreciative of the insight and info. I love technology and I know what I want in a device. But you would expect a rep to have more than casual knowledge of the devices they sell. They always know the bad stuff with the devices.
