Interesting. I wouldn't have guessed that there were multiple versions of the Sprint software in distribution, but perhaps that's the case. In any event, here is the HKLM/SOFTWARE/HTC/CommManager section of my registry:

I have VZW TP2. I tried just changing the SUPPORTEDFUNCTIONS to 8, but it gave me the same error. That is because our registry is missing the 6 & 7 keys. So I added your key 6 (since it seemed useful):

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\CommManager\6]
@="Vibrate"

And I changed SUPPORTEDFUNCTONS to 7.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\CommManager]
"SupportedFunctions"=dword:00000007

This added the Vibrate/Ringer choice to the Comm Manager. I suspect the Internet Sharing could be added the same way, but I won't bother since I don't know exactly what it does (and how to test that it works).

Thanks.

That's what I'd have expected, so thanks for the confirmation. My only concern would be the possibility that the underlying software might not be included with other TP2s, but your report suggests that that concern is unfounded. Thanks for the good news!

Hi all,
one question... I added:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\CommManager\6]
@="Vibrate"

It works, icons related to button #6 are ok but I have no text description (label) on that buttom.

Can someone point me to the solution ? Any suggestions ?

Thanks in advance

I searched my entire registry and all of the files on my phone looking for the string that is on one of those buttons. Both searches failed - not a single hit. Sorry, but I can't tell you where those labels are stored.
