Just FYI, looks like VZW just dropped almost all their smartphones to $99, including the TP. You know what that means.... TP2 should be on it's way soon.

Just to aid in the pointless speculation, does anybody recall how soon after VZW dropped prices of xv6800 did the TP1 land?

You can use gps without a data plan. Tomtom and Garmin software copys the maps to the micro SD card.

It won't work unless you are saying you are going to get a 6700 instead. Any phone released by VZW *requires* a data plan. Their system simply will not let you activate a phone without an unlimited data plan selected. CS can't override it, their managers can't, nobody in a corporate/indirect store can. I'm not saying it'd be impossible to do it, but you'd have to know somebody pretty high up to even have a chance.
