Maybe the problem is Sprint realized it should hold the release back until 30 days after the Pre release, and this is how they will do it.

Perhaps the Pre was supposed to release sooner and it got delayed and now it is a ripple effect. In order to stick with their philosophy of not allowing phone releases to overlap within the 30 day widow, they are pushing back the TP2? July 10th release!!!!

they probably figured out that no matter what they call it, it's still gonna have crappy battery life and still overheat.

If it aint one thing its another lol but its good to know its delayed because they fixing a problem just hopes it can be released next month sometime.

That would not work, rrright get the Pre then get stuck with a 2-year contract then pay full price for TP2, nahh.. I pass. sounds like an excuse to delay time to me. Either way i think it's being delayed because uploading the tons of sprint software crap into it and having problems with that. The normal version has no problems and is released. my $0.01

I kinda don't mind the sprit bloatware I just hope the sprint tp2 have the stock tab and the footprint tab those I kinda need

This article is kind of crap. Speculative crap.

First, I wasn't aware Sprint had a target release date for the TP2, just the usual time-frame by Quarters. There have been no actual dates tossed around though, so delayed from what?

Second, the phone is delayed because they are making sure it works on Sprint's network. That's not news, that is what happens with every phone.

Until the TP2 gets cert on Sprint's network, it is still in development. The phone has never left the development/test stage, so how it can it be delayed? Sprint sets rough time-frames by quarter and doesn't set a date until FCC clearance, Sprint clearance, marketing considerations and manufacturing capacity is satisfactory.

Now, if someone said the TP2 is delayed by 2-3 months that would be news.

Finally, who the hell knows who the source is or the reporter's track record?

Probably don't want people returning their Palm Pre's within 30 days to get the Tocuh Pro2...Plus sales of that device are good so they want to let it ride out a lil bit more
