Well the speculation continues... This article says Sept 3... but it will be "direct shipped". What does that mean?

Maybe? Dunno... but this image is definitely different than the previous one as it only had one listing for the TP2, none of this direct ship info...

You can see that it says "Direct Ship Only" with a Sept. 3 release date. I wish they'd give us some guidance on how we can order this bad boy. I'm ready to open the wallet and jump in already!

The ordering process will probably be similar to that for the Mogul. If you recall, it appeared as a Direct ship option weeks before it was available in store. So Sept 3rd is probably a realistic sale date, as the infrastructure needed to supply an online purchase is far less costly than a new in store launch !

It means you can only order it. You can not go into a store and pick one up. It is supposed to be in stores and online on september 8th

So if you can only order it on Sept. 3, do you think a person would have it in hand before the Sept. 8th store release, or should we may as well wait? I guess I'm a bit confused with this point. I'm not the most patient person in the world, and thus I want this phone the fastest route possible. And in stores and online is exactly what I've been told by chat support.

sprint retail stores are always the last place to get new phones, usually win it comes to winmo devices. if it says direct ship isb the first place to buy then you will have to order with your evp rep or call telesales or even possibly online. but stores will have them last.
