Re: HTC Touch Pro2 for Sprint in June

Personally, I have no problems with the current HTC devices. The issues are there but me refusing to buy 1 device sadly isn't going to do crap. I'm up for an upgrade (yearly now w/ sprint premier) so a bigger screen will do fine until the next device comes out. The Pre looks great but I'm looking at an extra $800+ a year because of the contract requirements for the same plan. I'd pay more out of pocket for it but Sprint most likely will have activation restrictions on it like the Instinct :(

But looks like HTC has done it again, they packaged up a slick looking device that its main update is a bigger screen (more resources so more power consumed BTW be warned) with the same specs and processor as the touch pro which most of you say that performed like s#!t and got everybody to still drool over it like they forgot about all the issues they had already and looks like this wont be any better because its basically the same thing with a different housing.......

well, the qtv issue has nothing to do with htc. (not really anyway) it's qualcomm for being so greedy and wanting a reason for ppl to go snapdragon.
anyway, another dark cloud on this topic ( qTV ) is Kinoma is going to power snapdragon's media, and I think we're all over the honeymoon with them too.

And Shaggy with the well-endowed good points!

QTV this....
Driver issue that.....
GFX performance sucks......
Videos look crappy....
lag here...lag there.....

Now, im not against anyone getting the new Pro2 (im thinking of getting it too but rather get the Palm Pre.... we will see how it goes)

But a lot of pple are acting like this is our savior when it comes to a all around device and soon we will see all the same complaint threads as we did when the touch pro launched

Exactly what I've been saying since the Touch Pro 2 has been rumored and then released (non-US).

HTC will never change how they make their products. They won't fix the lag issues or the performance issues. They have no incentive to. They can release the same devices with the same problems and make minor modifications and people here show they'll still buy it. If they can sell us a device that doesn't work then there is no real reason to invest the money to insure the devices work properly.

I know I'm for sure skipping the Touch Pro 2 as it just doesn't offer me ANYTHING.

No reason for a bigger screen and I have no desire for GSM abilities. I only roam in the US and Canada so GSM isn't useful to me.

I'd vote others do the same unless the device actually offers advantages. How else will HTC be motivated to build quality devices? But I know that is as hollow a possibility as people actually suing HTC for the butchered devices.

Lol. True... but who dont want to be in with the new? I hate it when I got a pair of Jordans and then the next week they release a different color but even tho same sneaker but different color you still end up gettin it so of course ppl gonna buy it, I know I will and the only problem I had was the battery and the screen gets scratched to easy.

if we keep buying them they will still do it so its tough for this chain to be broken, the HTC Superstar might shed a glimpse of hope in this issue

so what you are saying that if you buy a pair of sneakers that you found out that they made with some cheapo fabric that barely lasts and tears too easily due to LOTS of complaints and you find out that they are gonna release a new kind of design but with the same kind of fabric, you will still buy it???

I always seem to bump into the ghosts..

proof that qtv has nothing to do with the device here.

Sadly yes ha. The screen is worth it to me. They probably knew this when they kept the 2.8" coming from the touch. They got me ](*,)
