Wirelessly posted (htc Pocket PC: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint T7380)

You can do this on both devices but you won't be able to use the standard dialer. You'll have to install and use a voip app which will probably use it's own dialer.

My answer appears in your HTC Diamond thread, but for others possibly reading this: Put the TP2 into Airplane Mode, and then turn on the WiFi radio. Check that the cellular/data radio stays OFF. Is this is happening, problem solved, and like others have said here, find yourself a VoIP client to install, and use the dialer interface that comes with it.
