Any Button to Wake up TP2

I'm tire of pushing the power button to wakeup the TP2. I've try modifying the KeyLock register manually and try using the KeyLock.cab and still a no go. Current setting on TP2.

Provider - Sprint
Rom - MightRom 06-20-10 version
Using MicroSoft default Lock program only.

Currently, the only way to wakeup the phone is push the power button, slide keyboard, and/or take out the Stylus. I want to wake up the phone by press any of the other 4 buttons on the front, or even volume buttons.

Here's what I already tried...
Regedit - HKLM\HARDWARE\OEM\KEYBD\KeyLock = "0"
Regedit - HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd\DefaultKeyLock = 3
Regedit - HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd\DeviceLockWhenSuspend = "1"
Try using KeyLock.cab

Any other ideas...

Have you tried rhodium keyboard control? You can pretty much change any button to do anything you want. You might want to give that a try. I dont have the link cause im at wrk but ill try and see if i can direct you to it if you havnt found it already.

Re: Any Button to Wake up TP2

i say dont do it to any hardware keys- ie volume, talk, end, back, start..

the reason being your light will come on in your pocket all the time and give you even worse battery life...

so your saying you want a 4th way to unlock the device? 1)power button 2) slide KB 3) pull stylus ................4)assign a hard key

making a key on the KB unlock the device is unneccessary; since once you slide KB open it unlocks anyways..

Re: Any Button to Wake up TP2

Settings -> System -> Keylock Settings. Check "do not lock buttons."

If you're going to do this, make sure your phone is set to lock on screen off.

My phone with MightyRom does not have this setting.

This works great. I reprogram my "Back Arrow" Button (I never use this button) to add the action as "Emulate Key press", the power button. What's great is that in normal operating mode it seems to do nothing. It doesn't act like the power button. But when the phone is sleeping, I can push the Back Arrow button and it wakes up. Also, when the phone is totally OFF, I can push the Back Arrow button and it does nothing.

Now that I think about it, I don't even remember what the Back Arrow Button did?

Thanks

Re: Any Button to Wake up TP2

pocketsheild had an option to do this, and when I uninstalled, the option remained. For me, it was annoying and I thought it was a bug. So you can try to do the same.

To each his own i guess lol.

For the life of me I couldn't get the it to unlock with any key. Then I installed rhomdium keyboard control CDMA. I did not even launch it or change any settings and magically i can wakeup from any key now
