i say dont do it to any hardware keys- ie volume, talk, end, back, start..
the reason being your light will come on in your pocket all the time and give you even worse battery life...
so your saying you want a 4th way to unlock the device? 1)power button 2) slide KB 3) pull stylus ................4)assign a hard key

making a key on the KB unlock the device is unneccessary; since once you slide KB open it unlocks anyways..
