Asurion still have TP2?

Just curious if anyone has gotten a replacement recently and if they are still TP2s and new or refirbs

they give you refurbished devices that don't work past turning on the screen . you're better off buying one off ebay . I'm cancelling my TEP once I get a device I can actually use from asurion

For Verizon users, they have been out of (not even referbed ones) for quite a while now. Even Verizon could not even give me one, they were out of them. There really is not a phone, even with Android, to replace the great keyboard and Speakerphone that is on the Touch Pro 2, those are just 2 things they did really well on that phone.

I got a HTC Trophy because they were out of TP2s...

I just got a new one two days ago that was replaced under TEP due to a defective mic. The one I got looked brand new and had no signs of use. However, when I used the camera, there is a large blotch in the middle of all my pictures.

Back to the service center and they tried to fix it but couldn't so they are sending me another.

Oh well, we'll see what happens.

@DaveTN looks like u'll be getting upgraded to the arrive. it doesn't count as an upgrade if it's given as a replacement because when I had my TP replaced with a TP2 I still had my upgrade.

@eric12341 , you just made my night buddy if that works out. I guess I got the last TP2 from the repair center on Thursday because he told me today that they didn't have any left so they would have to send me a new phone. So, given that, if it works out like you said, I'll be really happy.

yup remember get the arrive and then load the mango beta on it. u won't look back although the rumor is that mango will officially be rolling out in less than 2 weeks.

Just got another replacement TP2 from Asurion (Sprint store ordered it as they are no longer stocked). This one is a refurb that comes in a white box with no battery, etc. In my 2 years on TP2 it's my 3rd one. #1 and #2 lasted a year each with no abuse. The 2nd one was brand NIB from Sprint store but already had the "wet" spot in the screen. #3 (the one I just got) looked like new, and seemed to work well, however the speker on it crackles and it has the "wet" spot in the middle as well. It seems like the quality of these things while being pretty crappy to begin with is now even worse. Time to bite the bullet and upgrade to a SERO premium account I guess...
