Could someone post the settings needed to get WMWifi Router working as a non-Ad hoc connection. It could be a potential stickied thread.

I can't seem to find any way to fix this.

There is no known way to adjust the files in the HP touchpad to look for ad_hoc connections from what I could discern from googling...only for android tablets atm.

As far as I have read, WiMo phones have no way of broadcasting an infrastructure wifi signal versus ad_hoc.


Which would make you think all hope is lost....but when booting up android from a TP2, it works perfectly tethering to the HP touchpad..

So hopefully there is a way to carry that ability over to windows mobile running on the touchpro2 as it doesn't seem to be a hardware issue causing the problem.

WMwifirouter only does adhoc. You'll have to wait and see if anyone ever comes out with a patch or supplicant for webOS/TouchPad to connect to adhoc networks.

WMWiFiRouter allows you to connect to another network . I was able to connect to the wireless router we have at home with WMWiFiRouter . then WMWiFiRouter pushed the internet connection to the actual router . I went into the routers configuration and was able to share my connection that way to my ps3 . I'm guessing you need a regular router to do this then . let me check out WMWiFiRouters forum site .

Removing Windows 6.5 from TP2 phone and booting to Android, how hard is it? Does it cost anything to upgrade to Android?

You can't remove WinMo 6.x and replace it with Android. You install Android to a 2GB or preferrably larger storage card and then boot into Android that way. It is free. Just follow the steps using the info in the Android on TP2 forum here.
Sprint won't find out or do they even care so there's nothing to worry about.

I am almost certain that if you installed and used the Morose Media WMWiFiRouter app on your WinMo device and configured it so it functions like a public WiFi access point similar to what is available at your local coffee shop you could connect your tablet to it.
