Re: no more myphone :( How can I import Google Contacts to my TP2?
when you use exchange to sync contacts with google, google will only sync contacts in the "My Contacts" group. you may want to add all your existing google contacts to a new group then remove them from the "my contacts" group. then when you sync, google will grab all the contacts from the phone and keep them separate from the other ones, for you to merge and rearrange to your liking.. unfortunately though you do have to have a contact in the "My Contacts" group for it to sync.

Re: no more myphone :( How can I import Google Contacts to my TP2?
If I have a new phone with 1 contact in it I am scared that instead of bringing all of the contacts from Google to the phone it will synch my 1 contact to google and wipe out my 300 contacts on Google instead of sending them to google.
I'm still not clear how to do it. Thanks Dorothy |

Re: no more myphone :( How can I import Google Contacts to my TP2?
well google has good archiving backup, but as I said move all your existing contacts to a new group in google so that the "my contacts" group is empty then there should never be a conflict. once your in sync you can move contacts back into the "my contacts" group.
if your still confused, log into google and bring up the contacts page, then it will make more sense. |
