TP2 connects to a google apps site through Sprint by itself

My HTC TP2 seems to insist on attempting to connect to the website at "sprint.com/googlemobileapps" by itself.
The website is not always available and I get a red Error Connection message.
How can I stop this? The Google icon in the Start menu does the same thing, but trying to trace the icon to the source file proved fruitless.
The properties box only states the source as a File folder but does not say where it is located.
If I can stop the phone from trying to connect to this site, it works just dand without any issues at all.
Thanks
QA

Re: TP2 connects to a google apps site through Sprint by itself

I know how to delete the shortcut, but how will this stop the device from seeking the connection I mentioned. The shortcut removal only deletes the .lnk, not the application or file that is doing it.

???

eric,
Ok, done deal. I deleted it from the start menu, and also found an associated registry key.
Hasn't done it in three days.
Thanks for the help
