TP2 will not recognize SD card

Hi,

I had micro SD card in my TP2 for 2 yrs. I was searching for a picture on the card to show my friend, and suddenly as I was browsing, all of the contents of the card disappeared.

I restarted the device several times and reinserted the card, but it still says no SD card detected.

The phone otherwise is fine. Should I hard-reset??? Don't really want do go that way unless necessary.

Did my card just die??? Would reformatting help??

Any other suggestions?

Before doing anything drastic, try out another working sd card. This way you can know for sure if it is a phone problem or sd card problem.

You could also put your sd card into your PC to see if your files show up. I regularly put mine in my laptop via card adapter to edit/backup.

yea, I would see if the card works on your computer, then back up the files if they are there and then reformat the card. Post your results.

my post was a hell of alot more helpful than that post u just made will ever be. u could've at least said something helpful besides saying such idioteces. besides post count doesn't mean shit past like 900 and if that was the case id be bumpin threads left and right and post in them.

I tried it on the PC and computer still would not recognize the card. So I guess I will try to reformat, although will lose all the data on the card.

If you haven't reformatted already, try a data recovery program... nothing to lose trying one or more.

He ment cause you posted exact same solution and all that did was up postcount but I liked your post cause to me it means more people agree with solution posted.
