Re: charging

If you're certain that it's not a hardware issue and it worked before and just suddenly stopped working then I would say it must be something that you've done. If I were you I would hard reset and see if the issue is present. If it is not, then start installing your mods and such one by one to find out which one has caused this issue.

Some custom ROMs are known to have charging issues due the battery.dll they use. I would say that is your problem, but you said that it used to work so...

Re: charging

I got to thinking about this one and went off and wound up flashing Nega's latest for Sprint - looks like WP7 - seems zippy, no probs... and yes, charging works fine...

That's what I like about these tp2's - I think , therefore I change my rom/app/whatever!

heh, I hear ya.

A tip for people with battery issues or needing to change quickly.

If it was reading fine but, all of a sudden it's not reading right, power off the phone, remove the battery, put it back in BUT, do not power on the phone, plug it into the charger/USB cable, the light will come on and it will be charging, leave it there for 45 to 1 hour.

It will charge the whole phone in less than 1/2 the time when the phone is off. I've used this a few times for a meeting that was a 1/2 hour away with a almost dead battery, powered off with a car charger 95% of the time results in a 100% battery.

Actually, I have experienced the opposite.
I think especially with the nueBattery/Power mods installed with quick charge enabled I notice the green light indicating a full charge coming on much sooner if I charge with the phone powered on.

Interesting, maybe with the nueBattery powermod, I'll have to try that on my next rom but, with my tests, I get my battery changed in almost 1/2 the time when it's powered off.

I'm using a custom rom but, one I have made myself and overall I get really good battery life (factory battery)

Re: charging

I have 2 batteries and charge the one that's just been removed from the phone in an ebay charger - takes a few hours.

Re: charging

IIRC lead's ROM includes the nuebattery drivers and this is what can cause charging, misreading and overheating issues. when i was on lead ROM or the stock ROM with the GT2L patch which adds the nuebattery driver i would experience these. since i switched over to VIN's rom which doesnt use the driver i no longer have such issues.
