poor quality fullscreen contact caller id pic

On my tp2, i cant seem to assign hi res contact images for full screen caller id on s2u2.

when i use s2v, it crashes when i try to assign a pic to contact.

when i use htc album, it crops the image to a portion of the image, which when s2u2 try to blow it up full screen looks horrible.

ihave heard to use htc sense (tfl3d) and go to people tab and then menu and then change picture. i don't seem to have that option. i have about 6 favorites. under menu, i can only select assign favorite or unassign favorite. If i select an assigned favorite, there is no option to change picture.

any ideas?
