TP2 saving unwanted pictures from facebook

Apologize in advance if this is posted somewhere already, but I couldnt find anything about it so here goes:

I noticed on my Touch Pro 2 that it is saving seemingly random pictures from facebook onto my device. If I go to photos and videos-->albums-------> my device, there is a huge list of pictures from facebook compiled here with names such as 01A4529, 10902001, 110BF6C, and so on. I did a hard reset to clear out everything and when I reinstalled facebook the pictures started saving again. Whats up with this? And is there a way to turn this off or stop it from saving?
