TP2 saving unwanted pictures from facebook

Apologize in advance if this is posted somewhere already, but I couldnt find anything about it so here goes:

I noticed on my Touch Pro 2 that it is saving seemingly random pictures from facebook onto my device. If I go to photos and videos-->albums-------> my device, there is a huge list of pictures from facebook compiled here with names such as 01A4529, 10902001, 110BF6C, and so on. I did a hard reset to clear out everything and when I reinstalled facebook the pictures started saving again. Whats up with this? And is there a way to turn this off or stop it from saving?

try this:

open up file explorer and goto application data then goto HTC then HTC ALBUM then cache and delete those files in that folder. unfortunately theres no way to prevent it from happening u just have to go and delete those files every now and then.

Eric is right.
This is a "feature" of Sense in that it caches pictures from facebook to your device with the assumption that you will add your facebook friends to your contact list on your device and when you do it will use the cached picture as the contact picture.
