I'm confused as to what you want.
Maybe you are thinking about turning Disk Drive Mode on and off in Activesync?
When you sync to a pc using Activesync or WMDC it syncs to your My Documents folder on your device by default. When you set up the partnership you can select other folders to sync to.

Re: Sync to storage card (My Docs) not internal

I want to move the My Docs to the SD card and have it sync there instead of the default internal memory. My wife has a LOT of pics and ringers and a 4 gig SD is a lot safer than only 24 megs of internal left. I dont remember any settings that allow that during setup but ill check.

OK
You may have to create a couple new folders on your card like My Pictures and My Ringers or something and move them there. Then you could use an app like Advanced Config or SKTools to change the default save locations for pics, music, and ringers to those folders on your storage card.

Re: Sync to storage card (My Docs) not internal

Thanks, i forgot about that lol. However, it doesnt seem to work. The setting inside of AC seems to 'stick' but it still sends files to the default My Docs. I know its a reg setting, but its late and i dont want to dig for it so if someone else could lend a hand id appreciate it. And its stock Sprint 6.5.

Thanks!

Re: Sync to storage card (My Docs) not internal

theres no way ive ever seen to sync files(docs) via AS or WMDC to the SD Card... only Music..

as im sure you know selecting "files" adds the "Your Device Name" folder to your desktop.. this is a mirror of the My Documents folder on your device.. only thing you can do is move them over manually to the sd card, but have it sync'd when you do this - otherwise next time she syncs, itll move it all right back to phone Storage...

its really not a hassle... though she'll have to re-assign her custom ringers maybe since now the file wont be in that location originally found... also if they pics she's amassing are from pic mails, there are edits/tweaks that moves the save location

+1 on what bored said.

Try soft resetting.
Then after booting open Advanced Config and make sure default save locations are set. Then Save and Soft Reset.
Maybe it will stick then.
