Well unfortunately at the current moment as far as M$ is concerned Windows Mobile is dead for the consumer ..if there were a better windows mobile phone for sprint we would be talking about it..

P.S I'm pretty sure there is more Android talk in the TP2 Android development forum lol

Re: Good time to leave TP2?

that's an exception and if WM was dead they wouldn't have updated the Facebook,MySpace or bing apps. bing jus recently got an update because when i installed it after installing lead rom the intro screen said copyright 2011 microsoft ¿cómo lo ves?

Windows will continue to live in Windows Embedded..so its not 100% dead..if you saw CES they are going to have a HTPC with 4 TV tuners based on Windows Embedded...but as long as we live in a country where carriers are king and lock us in from choosing our hardware we won't be seeing a windows embeded based phone in a LOONG while...unless they decide to put it up like the Motorola ES priced for an ARM and a LEG..

Who said anything about buying a phone every six months?

I ditched the TP2 because it was a terrible devices. Store more than 100 text messages and it'd freeze up. Not to mention it was slow as molasses. I havent missed a single thing going to the Droid X.

I still have my TP2 and all kinds of accessories sitting in a box here. I should sell it all for 100 bucks, but I cant sell something like this terrible in good conscience.

Also, with the upcoming phones on Sprint being not very interesting (except the Knight and the WP7 TP3.) The TP3 is kind of a slap in the face to me though.. It's gorgeous, obviously. I love the layout of my TP2, and the TP3 is the same basically, but the specs are going to be dated by the time it finally hits the shelf. And the Knight will be just a good teaser for me to warm me up for my next phone in either Q2 or Q3 of 2011..

the n00b i quoted above was the one who said that. and the TP2 is NOT a terrible device. it was just that YOU did not know what the hell you were doing with it. i dont get the freezeups or slowdowns u mentioned on the ROM im running (LEAD ROM 21916).

You just moved on to something that is dumbed down enough for you to understand it.
Plus you sacrificed your privacy to Google.
Do you feel more included since you have joined the fAndroid sheep?

Move along now.

The Optimus is an underpowered doorstop. The TP2 has 4 times the rom and twice the RAM of the Optimus. He wants a new phone, not a worse one with a worse screen (TP2 800x400, Optimus 320x480). Hell my 3 year old Mogul had 320x480.

OP, go with the Evo or Epic and you will not be sorry. I just left my TP2 last month and while I still love it, it can't compare. Having a huge capacitive screen is pure joy, not to mention the increase in horsepower.
ignorant statement, calling the optimus underpowered (especially for the price point). If the optimus is underpowered, I dont know what you would think of the TP2.....

4 times the rom and twice the ram? I dont really care if those numbers are right or not, the TP2 is much much slower than the optimus, and I'm sure there's a lot of people that can vouch for this in the optimus section, who are previous tp2 users: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/lg-optimus...r-optimus.html

the optimus runs the same chipset as the evo, just slower clock speed.

Analysis of Qualcomm MSM7x27 (MSM7227 MSM7627) and MSM7x25 (MSM7225 MSM7625) processors - how good are they? - Smartphone Benchmarks (SmartBench 2010/Quadrant) Forum

sure, you may not be able to play the fastest racing games (not without a custom rom at least), but it's in a completely different league than the TP2. Sacrifice resolution for multitouch capacitative screen, better battery life, no SOD, better camera, better voice commands, speech to text that works, better navigation, faster, and more reliable phone.

this is an ignorant statement. of course any fandroid is gonna say the phone is better no matter what. i used one in the Sprint store and jus couldn't stand it,the screen was smaller and it didn't seem much faster or slower than my TP2 which doesn't suffer from the issues u mentioned because i don't use the stock 6.5 rom and I've said this before but u jus like to leave ur drive by cheap smartass $0.02 . if u hate the TP2 and MS so damn much then go buy an Android phone and leave us TP2 users the HELL ALONE you ignorant troll.
