$%^HELP! My 2yr old F@#Ked up my phone up and now it only calls American Roming

Please help! I had my phone was charging on the usb attached to the computer when my 2yr/old somehow screwed it up. the phone seems fine but now it only calls out to an operator at American Romng. I have had the phone since May 2010 and it has always worked well. Its a TP2 that was flashed to metro with all the bells and whistles. I tried to go to the guy that sold me the phone hoping he could look at ia and maybe fix it for a few bucks but he just wants me to fork over another $250.00 to get another phone. Thanks in advance JJ
