Re: Is my TP2 the only one turned to crap??
Well, I am glad to know it's not just me. Not that I want EVERYONE to suffer...just good to know I didn't do something to cause this mess with my TP2.
I'll maybe consider flashing....have done numerous hard resets so I know that alone won't be enough. Think I'll just save up for the Epic. Upgrade is in January so 2 months to save some change! Thanks all!

Re: Is my TP2 the only one turned to crap??
Any hardware issues aside, I find a good re-flash always gives you that spring time fresh feeling!
I Task29 the booger, and flash Sprint Lovers 6.5 (Thanks Chris!). I have everything backed up with Sprite, and use PPCPIMBackup for the contacts. I DON'T use PPCPIMBackup for speed dials, as that can break your dialer. All my customizations are in the Sprite restore file, so it's completely the same every time. I've had a Rhodium_W since late Sept. '09, and it's still a champ. Thanks to custom Roms, overclocking & Co0kie's Home Tabs. I do this procedure about once a month, and it takes all of a half of an hour. YMMV |

That is what I do. These devices need to be reset every so often. |

Re: Is my TP2 the only one turned to crap??
+1 for a re-flash, even the stock ROM.
My current TP2 is a refurb after the "oil slick" on the original device. When this phone arrived it had issues with certain keyboard keys not functioning properly and random "lock-ups". As my warranty was about to run out, I requested and received another refurb. Before dumping the first refurb, I tried a re-flash of the stock 6.5 ROM. Everything just started working! My assumption is the refurb process involved a faulty flash. I sent the second refurb back unopened so someone else could have it. To eliminate lock-ups and greatly increase your battery life (not to mention making the device function more "snappily"), I strongly suggest over-clocking. I never lock-up and the battery lasts almost three days! At 806Mhz, it's almost Snapdragon fast! OK, that's a bit of hyperbole, but it really is a great improvement. To eliminate the RAM leak, I suggest turning off Sense. As previously suggested any UI (even Titanium or the "stock" Today screen) will improve over-all performance.
