Long system up time?

So I'm a little curious to see the amount of other users that get similar results as me or can replicate this. Basically how long are you leaving your device running without soft-resetting? 98 hours is my most recent, probably could have done at 75 but really no huge need too yet.

I base my normal daily use off of (20-30 texts, 10 phone calls, 1-2 hours combined of surfing internet, 40 min of fpsce playstation emulator use with a few other apps as well.
(OCT 1.5 config on MOST of the time too).

ROM used:
Blackout 6.1 global Manila 2.5,
CHT 2.0 beta
177MB of main device storage used 90MBfree

Re: Long system up time?

ive gone well over a week before without having to soft reset..... i rarely get chances to actually do something like that though.... install a cab, youve gotta reset before use-ya know??

i can say this though, as long as i dont install a cab or run Android(takes a reset to get back into windows), my TP2 easily goes a week(like stated above) without soft resets...

Re: Long system up time?

most ive gotten was like 80 hours before an inconvienience occurred which would cause me to soft reset. but without a lockup ive gone well over a week. the inconvieniences i commonly experience are a piece of the top of the screen freezes (could see portion of taskbar in any full screen view or in landscape view a piece of what was in portrait sticks) or sense of TF3D locking up after cleanRAM or commgr and usb-pc app freezing, these commonly have happen to me between the 48th and 60th hour.
** EDIT** i added screenshots to further illustrate the #1 issue that prevents me from achieving any high amount of uptime. the top right corner is a piece of the htc website that got stuck when i switched the screen to landscape then back to portrait. anyone know a fix other than a soft reset. i experienced this on every 6.1 rom (im on stock now)

Re: Long system up time?

I don't pay attention but when I pull up the screen that tells me uptime, I've seen it at at least 100 hours. It rarely gives me SOD on Sprint Stock. And lately the only time it gets reset is when the battery dies (it drains sooo quickly and charges sooo slowly!)

u mean u actuallly keep it off the charger after the 2nd warning? thats when i usually plug it in,sucks that theres only 2 warnings on the Dell axim series there were 3 warnings then a countdown till it shut off whereas this just shuts off after warning 2

Re: Long system up time?

@boredandtattooed, are you running stock too or what rom?
@eric, I've had the phone not answer calls correctly when data running problem too. There was a cab that I believe made it happen less often. Trying to remember....

Re: Long system up time?

I turn my TP2 off each night (or every other night if I'm getting really good battery life) and charge it overnight. Should I not be doing that?

I thought that charging the unit while it is on could lead to SODs with WM6.5 / Sense 2.5...

My TP2 is only 6 months old but the battery is all jacked for some reason. Only lasts 7 hours before it dies and most of the time I'm out somewhere.

if ur away from an outlet for extended periods of time u should do what i did and buy an iUP luckypacks 1800. its an external battery that provides 1 full charge and its only $30. my battery is F'ed too but this helps me deal with it tho its a lil annoying to have a cord hanging from u.
