Talking Opera mini and physical START key

Haven't seen this addressed - I find that when I'm in Opera mini and want to go back to the home page and press the physical "start" button (the one with the windows logo), nothing happens. I press it a few more times - nothing happens. I furiously press it 3 or 4 times and voila.

So what am I missing?

Thanks!

EDIT: however, pressing the physical back (left arrow) button pops me back to the home page (or whatever the last page was that I looked at... so it's just that the start menu key doesn't work from within Opera mini. no biggie!

It's probably because Opera or something else is occupying the device's resources at the time and it takes a few moments before the command to open the start menu gets executed.

I gave it a minute and nothing happened. Apparently Opera is interfering with that interrupt, at least partially... EDIT: to be clear, I pressed it, p[aused 2 secs (repeat 5 times) and then wait forever. The button causes a click, so it's being felt. somewhere.
