EMERGENCY! Flashed Rom now phone can't charge-reboots every 2 seconds

Hey everyone, I woke up this morning and found my TP2 was doing some wierd behavior-I flashed the new NRG rom last night off the microSD slot and went to sleep while it was installing. Now this morning, the orange charging light does come on when plugged it but it automatically tries to turn itself on and then turns off again every few seconds. Holding power and volume down brings me to the tricolor screen but it immediately dies (does not charge in tricolor I am pretty sure). How can I fix this immediately? It is my birthday!
Dan

Re: EMERGENCY! Flashed Rom now phone can't charge-reboots every 2 seconds

try to do a hard reset, task 29 if you know how to, try to reflash it from coumputer. those are the 3 things i can think of. O try plugging in the usb to phone and loop the cord under the phone see if that works. Ive noticed for awhile no that my usb plug seems like its going bad after being on NRG roms (but thats all i use i swear by them) but if i loop the cord under the phone it works!!!!!

Problem Solved-EMERGENCY! Flashed Rom now phone can't charge-reboots every 2 seconds

Ok, here are the 2 steps I did to get this to work. It was most likely the first step that fixed it but I'll post both.

1)Pull the battery out of the phone for 15-20 minutes.

2)Charge it on DC power (used my car charger and it didn't do the infinite reboot loop).

When it finally had some juice, I was able to get past the bootscreen and it booted fine.

BTW-task 29 won't work if it is in this state. Plugging your phone into the computer just endlessly reboots and you can't access activesync.

Did you flash a GSM Energy ROM? Take the battery out to turn it off. Take out the SD Card since it still has the RHODIMG.nbh on it (unless you already deleted it.) Put the battery back in, and hold down on the Volume Down button while turning the phone on to enter bootloader mode. From there, you can flash a ROM or use Task 29. Make sure you're flashing a CDMA ROM or you'll likely be back to the same place you are now.

Not that it will help but I had something similar happen on my Diamond, never did get to the bottom of it as I ended up getting a TP2. It was the perfect excuse!

Glad you got it going! Yes, battery out for a bit is always a good idea, and having an external charger, or spare charged battery is also good...

Re: EMERGENCY! Flashed Rom now phone can't charge-reboots every 2 seconds

i always flash with PC as the SD card method doesn't work for me. anyway try reflashing the stock 6.5 clear storage then flash the rom in my sig. oh and for future reference, never fall asleep when flashing a rom. but falling asleep when restoring text messages and programs is ok

Nah, it wasn't a GSM flash, I am an experienced flasher (sounds like something that would put me in jail). I do task 29 then sd card flash.
