I just switched the phone to GSM mode, got on the Edge connection, and sent an MMS to my CDMA number, and it said it sent successfully.

When I switched back to the Sprint network on CDMA, it didn't have a message waiting.... is that because you can only receive SMS or MMS when your phone is on the network? If so, makes sense. If not, then maybe MMS doesn't work.

I had to manually enter mms settings, got that workin but still no auto switch on data settings. It won't auto pick

You should still get the message when you switch back to cdma. Just like if the phone had been off
