JAJA! well, for that ud have to flash a 6.5.x rom, look through the CDMA upgrades section for such a rom and check the screenshots of each rom listed there and once u find one flash it. u may have to unlock ur tp2 first tho so before that goto the sticky for HSPL-unlocker, download that and flash that first before u flash the rom and also backup ur contacts,text messages and any other important stuff u may have through either microsoft myphone or exchange activesync.

you dont have to flash to 6.5.x to have a 3g icon. you just need a custom taskbar.
check this thread its older for 6.1 and 6.5

you can also do it your self if you experience with dll modification. i believe its in resshell32.dll. you would have ot unsign dll mod then resign.

OP you don't have to flash anything to get a 3g icon. I'm curious what network you are using.

don't even get y someone would post about this CDMA networks show the Ev icon by default while GSM networks show the 3G one. this reminds me of the post last week when the guy was complaining about the graphics of the G icon.
