Disable screen wake up on roaming

So while at my basement apartment my phone routinely goes into roaming, thus waking up the screen and killing my battery. I was wondering if there is anyway to turn off the screen wake up when entering roaming.

I hate that! My stupid ass used to sit there & stare at the phone waiting for something to happen (text message or phone call) not knowing it was roaming LOL I would love to know how to stop the screen from waking up!
