whats involved to replace the bottom hard button keys?

so i did the hard reset on the phone, and the end button on my phone still doesn't work.

before i go into the repair center, i'd like to know if the following is true... since i don't really want to deal with a different screen since the newer ones seem to be a bit warmer in color, and i prefer the cooler whitish color i have now.

the sprint repair center told me the keys are attached to the screen and if i need to replace the non operating button, the entire front of the phone needs to be replaced.

is that true?
