Re: SIM card and Internet Sharing via WiFi
Hi Jen,
Welcome to the forums. I am not sure but i think you have it backwards. The wifi router works fine but you need the sim card to enable usb tethering (from my experience you can't access the option for "sprint" network without the sim card in) Maybe something to do with the global settings a sim card opens up. There are a lot of posts around this in the NRG rhodium rom tp2 pages. hope that helps a little try this link http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/cdma-tp2-u...ml#post1948897 Last edited by castnorth; 09-19-2010 at 03:09 AM. |

Re: SIM card and Internet Sharing via WiFi
its just the new version of NRG Rom from what ive heard last few days... i run NRG but its over a month old so i dont have the SIM/Tethering issue..
wifi router should work without issue.. i also thought i read it was USB Tether that was affected by the SIM issue.. though like you OP, i dont whats causing the issue though..

Re: SIM card and Internet Sharing via WiFi
I was looking at doing this or getting a sim card.
But I installed wifi router after internet sharing cab and wifi router works fine in wifi ad hoc mode. Dont really care about the usb connection too much. wifi has plenty of speed. Would like the Bluetooth to work. I guess if I want that I will need to do the OP described change. Last edited by darkfred; 11-20-2010 at 03:21 PM. |
