Re: So.... TP2 a dead platform?

I honestly think the TP2 is a respectable phone. When the folks that are porting Android to it get a 100% working NAND version, the TP2 will be the phone to have

Re: So.... TP2 a dead platform?

Definately not. The TP was an innovator and TP2 was like a refresh. I think on android it would be pretty sweet.....I may switch back for a little it

Re: So.... TP2 a dead platform?

The TP2 only makes sense if you are a die-hard windows fan.
Good hardware, high res screen, good speaker and damn good build quality.
Again, a great phone if you are locked into WM for whatever reason.

but for a comsumer? probably time to ditch this and move on to a new droid phone with a capacitive screen.

I bought the TP2 the week it came out and in retrospect paid a bit too much for it. immediately I installed all the cabs to make it the way I wanted it. Most were eventually bundled in the "allgoodthings" cleanup cab, but my phone ran pretty damn good.

I only flashed the vindows rom becasue I wanted more open keybaord screen support, it ran pretty damn good, I think later on I installed too much shit and it scewed up the phone. I also had stopped cleaning it and whatnot with memaid.

I decided to flash bigs maxsense rom, which works really well, but doesn't have the sideways support.

It's been my experience that HTC's software and windows mobile software just don't get along, this phone lacks the refinement that a complete OS like the android has and I completely understand why a lot of people would go from tp2-EVO, it's a great phone.

I want the TP2 to be an awesome phone, which it's a really good phone for me, but the one thing I wish it had was a 1ghz proccesor. The advancement in overclocking has really mafe the phone better, but with maxsese I don't feel the need to OC unless I'm playing a process heavy game.

I'm probably gonna go back to vindows rom and try the updated, if that doesn't workout, I know that the 6.1 with cabs runs like a raped ape.

I'm definitely sticking with this phone until something comes out that just completely replaces it, I would be perfectly fine with a TP2 that has a faster processor and more of the bugs worked out and 4g (Which by that time should be everywhere).

Hell I would be fine with SPBmobile shell, the capabilities of this phone outweigh a "super high quality camera" and some of the other "things" that any of the new phones do. This phone does everything I need it to do and then some, with a keyboard and a good one at that.
LMAO I love my tp2 and its my 1st pda as well.

as for ever being able to move to droid? nope. dont know the programing language to even begin to try and trouble shoot on my own..

I know I joked about it being an iphone but ok sawry to the android fans lol. But I still think it looks ugly.. they need to do something with that in next version.. VERY much a mans looking phone.

Re: So.... TP2 a dead platform?

TP2 IS A FANTASTIC PHONE. Though i do think it is dying but not dead yet. I.ve been using gen y dual boot and going back n fourth from winmo to Android and have given my TP2 a new soul.. Im die hard winmo but android realy is a force to be respected. apps, ease of use a functionality is putting them on top. i personallly think the TP2 is THE best non android phone that can withstand the OS and still keep its original pride. TP2 winmo= TP2 with android dual booted with winmo/ custom Rom and android ported= (my 2 cents)

The programing language is Java.
You should be able to do that no problem.
