Re: So.... TP2 a dead platform?
I havent been in this section for about 2 months now. Just stopped in today to see what was going on in the TP2 world. I left Verizon and sold my TP2 and jumped to Sprint to get the Evo a couple months ago. I LOVED my TP2 and thought I might miss the full keyboard and WinMo. I gotta say that I am really digging Android the more that I learn about it. It seems to be much better and much more fun to play with. The Evo is an awesome phone too!! It is by far my favorite phone that I have ever owned, and I have owned quite a few of WinMo phones over the years. Not saying that everyone should jump ship, but Android is good. Not saying that the TP isnt awesome, but I like the Evo better. Everyone is different and likes different things, but I think you should give the Evo a try, especially Android. For those on Verizon the new Motorola Droid is getting good ratings and good fan base, but I will always be a HTC fan!!!

Re: So.... TP2 a dead platform?
yeah schett is right. my old Mogul was satisfactory for 2+ years. I have spent the past 12 months trying to unsuck my TP2. I wish I hadn't wasted all that time trying to get discounts, rebates, etc. right after it was released.

Re: So.... TP2 a dead platform?
I am probably the only one who still likes the tp2, so much so i am considering buying another as a backup before they go extinct....i have to say though, it's mainly because of the cost per month after all the "additional fees" would be doubled if i switched to android. anyone know when the tp2's might be phased out?

Re: So.... TP2 a dead platform?
It seems like there's still plenty of WM ROM development going on, and also the Android port. And enough people are still tinkering with the device that the overclocking finally got figured out. It's pretty obvious that the TP2 is at the end of its life cycle but it's not totally dead just yet.
