And am I right in saying that You can only overclock while your plugged into a AC outlet via, usb or battery charger. Once you remove it youll get SOD and forced to HR. So you can only keep your phone in OC mode by keeping it connected or on 604MHZ.

That seems dumb...

If this is not true such as the OP mentioned in his post how do you remove your phone from the connection with a higher OC setting without having SOD?

Yep but remember every TP2 is different. My first TP2 could overclock and be stable at 806 and my new one only at 710. If you are having problems check out the threads for cabs.

Thats why I ignored doing this. There is simply too much information and I dont really understand all of this stuff. I just want my TP2 a little faster.

If it works when you disconnect the USB cable from the charger why do you say

Quote:

Notes on overclocking
1) AT YOUR OWN RISK
2) Only works while connected to AC power
3) The "604MHz" OC frequency is a special one. Only with this frequency set, you can remove AC power without having a lockup. So: after you overclock and want to remove your USB cable, set it to 604MHz first! You'll see it go back to the default 528MHz a second after you remove the cable. That's something the device does, not my app.
4) Overclocking while on battery gives insta-hang.
5) "Apply at boot" is disabled as under- or overclock would hang at boot.
This leads me to believe that only 604MHZ is the only setting that works otherwise you risk the chance of you having to HR!

Is this not true? If not please explain how do I get the phone to OC above 604 Disconnect the charger and keep the setting without getting SOD.

Thanks

Believe what you want. The rest of us have overclocked devices in our pockets.

OverClock Tool 1.5 is easiest to use, no SOD, and works on battery.
Msm7kCpuSpeed requires scripts to use on battery alone and avoid SOD.

Thanks oneday.

I ran OCT 1.5 and my settings are

748.8 Interval 1000
#steps 3
load max 33
Load min 15
Jump max 20
Jump min 3

When I go to 768 my phone starts to freeze. Do you think there is anything else I can try to make it run faster or a setting I should try adjusting?

To be honest Im not sure if its very noticeable other then moving through Total commander with a little more ease.
