Re: GUIDE FOR Sprint TP2 on boost

Everything has been working perfectly, until today. Sprint navagation now wants money to use it. I did some searching a didn't see a solution. Does anyone know how to get the navagtion working again without paying for it?

EDIT: I just read somewhere that if you signup you still wont be charged, is that true?

1st) welcome to the forum

2nd) after Preferences, Blacklist, on the first empty slot click on that and thats the server slot that your looking for.

3rd) Instead of saying thanks hit the THANKS button

4th) let me know if you got it to work

I registered a Sprint Touch Pro a couple of days ago on Boost for the 35 cents daily unlimited data Pay As You Go and I was able to get it done with a lot of effort. You just have to get the right rep I believe. First time I had done it.

Basically borrow an ESN or IMEI/SIM number from someone with an old Boost phone. I have a cousin that has an old IMEI/SIM he lent me the numbers. Got the account set up. Called back in 20 minutes and migrated the phone to CDMA. They gave me the info that my walkie talkie wouldn't work yadda yadda. The lady asked what phone it was and I just said it was one with a keyboard.

Configuring the EPST was a pain and I still couldn't get the data to work even though I followed exactly the configurations found on Howard Forums. I ended up taking off my EnergyRom and putting on the original stock sprint rom. Luckily after the cab installer installed everything it actually did a configuration to the epst and everything worked.

Now I've got a cheap data plan that I can use my lappy with. The coverage isn't the best but I'm sure it will do me good enough for now.

Nice explanation to whats already stated on the guide
EPST? howard forums? y if step by step on first page... LOL

Got the epic but still have the tp2 not connected but kept it so i can give support to this thread thinking of connecting it on pay as you go plan for the data so i can tether with it but kind of bulky and pricey as a modem but might be worth it instead of paying 30-60 $ month on a network card how has it been working out for you is it worth it?

I used the silver spoon guys. $40 in 36 hours my TP2 is working on boost (got it on the shrinkage as a backup to my sprint TP2 just in case sprint does something nasty :-)

painless easy well worth the $40.

BTW I bought the MIRRO to get the account setup initially. AMAZING phone really. nice clean screen good camera (though only space for 20-25 images) good audio quality (though it has a high pitch whine that I find particularly annoying but no one else here's) and ASTONISHING battery life. 1.5 days still "full" battery.

so if you have a parent or grand parent etc.. that needs a nice capable BT phone with nice but simple hardware and good battery life the mirro is surprisingly nice.

Dont believe it will. To get the Android phones on Boost you have to go a different route

You can pay the $40 or just do what stated on the first post of this thread for Free

I know but I did not feel like arguing with a rep on the phone and hoping to get the right one. :-)
