What an Annoyance!! Spacebar changed to "/"

Yesterday my onscreen keyboard was fine...today I've installed the volume increase that was recently posted and opera mini 5...now my spacebar has been replaced with a "/" and my spacebar is currently located under the symbols/numbers portion of the onscreen keyboard

I've uninstalled both and soft reset and nothing's changed

Try a different keyboard? Which one are you using?

That happens on my Diamond in the calendar, sucks but at least with TP2 we have a hardware keyboard

I have the stock keyboard and i'm running the stock rom

I havent even looked into different keyboards, which is most similar to stock or highly recommended?

Does this happen in all fields where you input text or just the address bar--because URLs don't allow spaces.

I noticed this as well. However, I if I open notepad, then the space bar is right there where it's supposed to be. Maybe it is application specific?

I'd say you've got two choices, hard reset or try installing a replacement keyboard. I like FingerKeyboard2 as an alternative. It's in the favorite cabs thread.

mine does this on my hd2 when it thinks you are somewhere the spacebar is not needed. Unfortunately it's wrong alot.

it happens in all fields...also the ".com" button is always present too...not just when im inputting a URL

I guess I'll be installing another keyboard...it's gonna be hard getting use to
