6.5.x start menu on 6.1? can you?

I just dont seem to be able to find a 6.5.x rom that is stable enough, so is there a way to make the 6.5.x start menu work on the original sprint 6.1 rom?

having very small buttons at the top just really sucks.

small buttons at the top sounds like you're describing the task bar, not the start menu. either way, i haven't seen any mod like that.
