from what I've read, androids dont have native outlook support.... I would not switch unless it did. blackberry's and iphones were easy to sync with outlook. I wish I could overclock my TP2 without sacraficing reliability and battery life, but probably far fetched. The sluggishness is the only thing that annoys me, but since I use spbms + native windows apps, it's not a big problem. I wouldnt have a problem using this device for the next 5 years. Emails, texts, mms, facebook plugin, bing, youtube, wifi router, speaker phone, acual phone use, and web browsing work great. Anything else is just an added bonus, and I could definitely live without.

My evo syncs with outlook just fine. And, i can do things like talk to text which of what i'm doing right now to compose this message

from what I've seen on youtube, it doesnt directly sync with outlook, and you need extra software to make it work.

it just doesnt seem very easy or straightforward from what I've seen. Have not owned android(because winmo got the job done).

Prior to 2.1, additional software was required. Not anymore, it syncs natively and layers calendars, contacts, and emails. It works great on my wife's Epic as well.

I been over my TP2 before I saw the Evo (I still have the dam TP2 unfortunately) Im tired as hell of it... it gets irritating.. It will freeze up, lock up, lag, for NO reason! (Not even running a rom, Im on a stock WinMo 6.5) I'll press the phone button and the dam thing will show the upper part and take on average from 5 - 10 seconds for the number part to show up. Not to mention the times I've had it replaced for a BS "refurb" Im very over it! I wish to god we werent on my girlfriends aunts employee plan, because of that, when the phone released in July she couldnt order one because of the fact she is an employee.... she couldnt even order one til august BUT because they are in such high demand she cant even order me one for my upgrade... it SUCKS!! (& I AM NOT payin 400 bucks for it from C list) I think its terrible how much employees get put on the back burner.. I mean it aint like I wanted the phone early lol... On a side note my aunt just got the Droid X... and daaaaaaaaaaam! That is a SEXY phone!!! every time I see her I always mess wit it lol. Hopin I can get my Evo sometime soon.... until then I'm gonna do a dual boot on my TP2 with android and dream of the day I got my Evo in my hand lol

don't know what ur doing, I've never had those problems on this 6.1 rom I'm on.

dont know what ur doin with ur phone. i dont have those problems on this 6.1 rom im running. seriously get the hell out of here with this sh!t and goto the android forums. wheres a mod to close this?

Im not "doin" nothin!!! Im on a stock rom! Did you read what I said?!?! And I dont even got a damn droid yet, so I think Im still allowed to post here in the TP2 forums! If thats alright with you Mr. High & MIGHTY! Seriously, wtf do you think you are?? The Dam TP2 Forum patrol??? Im speakin about MY personal BAD experiences wit the TP2! I've had 4 of em so far! Its a piece of sh*t in MY opinion.. Im sorry I came to a PUBLIC forum to give MY personal opinion! I'll put it to you the best way I can, If You were a Loyal McDonalds customer... and you KEPT getting cold fries, and wrong orders or old hamburgers... Would you still praise em? And stay a loyal customer?... How aboout YOU gtfoh! If its that big of a DEAL leave! Its that simple... theres an infinite amount of other forums u can find. Just because you aint had problems wit the TP2 doesn't make it a godly phone.

yes I did read that you're on the stock rom. everyone knows that 6.5 stock rom is buggy try the 6.1 stock rom or a rom based on it, big difference in performance and reliability.

That's exactly it, Gten. People equate light weight with cheap even though it's an obvious fallacy. My wife has one and I say it feels very solid. That's what she said too.

How does it feel cheap? the build quality of the Epic is actually pretty darn good...in terms of build quality is actually is superior to the Evo hands down...only thing you may ave made you think that way is probably due to the fact that th Epic is so light..thats the first thing I noticed when I first held it..as much as I like my TP2 it felt like holding a brick in 1 hand(TP2) and a box of feathers in another(Epic)...but being light isn't a bad thing, neither does it constitute it as cheap.
