Thumbs up Re: *OVERCLOCK* Specific OCT V1.5 Settings

These are the settings I have finally settled on:

CPU max 729.6
interval 2000ms
steps 1
load max 30
load min 15
jump max 50
jump min 3

Idles at 364.8.
I changed from 2 steps to 1 step because I was getting a SOD every day or 2. I think the 2-steps made it idle too low.

I've been SOD-free for 5 days since changing steps. I have also been able to increase my CPU max from 691.2 to 729.6.

As an added bonus, I'm getting great battery life! (Used phone all weekend on a single charge!)

I've never had SOD after, before, or during calls. Maybe it's because I'm using 6.1

Horndoc, I tried those setting you posted a few days ago, (the 768mhz one, stepping at one), and I had first SOD in like a few months. Back to my original, ahem, "so far bullet proof" settings; 749 @ no stepping, 2000ms polling, load max 100, min 0, jump max 80, min 3.

and I ALWAYS run 6.5.xxx
Yeah but the thing is, with those settings it just runs at one speed all the time so other than your settings for max speed and no steps all your other settings are meaningless. You have dynamic scaling basically disabled. I think the reason my settings wouldn't work for you and maybe others was due to the interval. A higher number is more stable 1500 or more. I set mine at 900 so I would get a faster response knowing that if it didn't work then I could always increase it until it was more stable but for me it worked.

Re: *OVERCLOCK* Specific OCT V1.5 Settings

Besides the carrier differences, I'm wondering if there's any internal differences between the Tilt 2 and the TP2 that could be contributing to the problems. Seems like the TP2 users have fewer problems with OCT and can overclock them higher.

use the oct 1.5 repack by ninja duck. it adds a .lnk to the startup folder so oct runs on startup. once you set your oct settings, click on oc on/off a few times to make sure the sections stock after a soft reset

I found that simply click the OC on/off button in the OCT_GUI will make it write in registry and stay after reboots. So when you change settings, change one setting each time, exit the gui, see if your phone works or not, test a bit, come back in gui, and click on/off button to see the oct is off, then turn it back on. saved me big, I set the speed to a step above 749, and the phone just crashed, but I didn't toggle the oct on/off, so when it resets, it boots up fine. I put the OCT on the internal storage, not on SD card which is suggested by members(so that at a major failure, you can pull out the SD card to start without OCT) but just test more before make it perm.

Re: *OVERCLOCK* Specific OCT V1.5 Settings

Now even at 729 with 1 step, I get occasional crash when using the opera 9. so I changed to 748 with 0 step, I'll see how is that gonna do.
