HTC Sense Weather Issue

Forgive me if this has been discussed, but I tried to do a quick search and didnt see any threads containing this issue..

I am using a completely stock TP2 Sprint version, and am having problems with the weather sticking recently. I have the weather set to update only on manual, and have my location on the phone set to off, and only turn it on when I need to use it.

Previously, this worked fine, and when I turned my location off, the weather forecast on the today screen would clear, however lately, it is remaining on the screen with an outdated forecast animation. The only way to clear it seems to be to update it at a new location, but that doesnt solve my problem, because now I have another forecast up.. Im curious as to how I can get it to completely clear the forecast from the today screen again, as I dont remember changing any settings?
