Device has been freezing in weird way

I don't think stock 6.5 is the problem, there are many people running it without issue. You have to consider how many people in this forum don't even use custom roms, just mods over the existing one

well when i had it i had issues. SODs when texting and screen goes off while waiting,device woukd lock up when trying to text from sense 2.5 messaging tab (even with no text stored) music would freeze while texting and missing component errors and before you or anyone else says that it was from a bad flash it was not because my device came with it pre installed on it, i also had these same issues on mightyrom ff. but now im on a 6.1 rom and these issues disappeared so hmm?

i'm on stock 6.5 rom (same as limon) I don't have those problems yet. Occasionally, on my tp1 i would see those jail bar screens. But ever since i installed silence rom I hadn't seen that problem.

That being said, I am looking to put 6.1 tp2 because i don't need the newer fancy stuff, I use the classic windows interface not sense, manila or whatever.

most of these issues people don't even see until they flash a custom ROM and i kno several people on stock 6.5 with no complaints. I didnt see any of these issues until April of this year and I've owned my device since the stock VZW 6.1 ROM last year, which is the reason why i think my device is just getting close to the end of it's life.

FML My phone started doing this the same exact time yours did? I've seen several other people post with the same issue but no real ideas on whats causing it.

It seems to lock up in the Sense UI and requires a hard reset. Mine started this on 6.1 so i updated to 6.5 and had the same issue but even worse. I took the phone to sprint and they ordered a new one and this one had the issue again in the first 24 hours. WTF is going on? I cant stand having to hard reset the phone every 12 hours AT LEAST.

i hope you mean soft reset, but my problem was actually solved by flashing a new ROM...not sure if it was a real problem solver so to speak, but my phone has not locked up like this since i flashed Energy Standard Reference. I have basically the exact same settings that I had on MightyROM since i like to install all my CABs on a clean stock-like ROM, so that's the only difference I see. I also lowered my overclocker to 748MHz and this has it running much smoother, so if you aren't overclocked yet I would try it out. My idea on this issue is the phone locks up because of the processor's inablility to handle sense 2.5 properly /: but that's just my idea

Nope, i have to hard reset the phone every time i start getting the issue. Full rom re-install. I havent done any mods to the phone and i've always been with OEM roms only. No overclocking or anything.

The only thing that has been the same from the 2 phones is the battery and the sim card. With the 6.1 on the old phone it kept giving me memory low errors and several times it said the current from the charger was not enough to charge the battery.

As far as issues with the charger, that would be a hardware problem and you'd probably need either a replacement charger or replacement phone to fix that issue. Which I know isn't what you'd want to hear. I can say that i experienced both this and SODs before i installed the overclocker and it will work on stock ROMs. it makes the phone much faster and more responsive, and i believe it helps with processing the extra memory usage from Sense 2.5 and WinMo 6.5...one of the reasons why i think when you upgrade you will still experience the issues and it could possibly make it worse.

Chargers been replaced so i know thats not the issue now. I just cant see why it would start happening on 6.1, then 6.5, then even after sprint sent me a new phone (probably refurb) i sitll have the issue... Unless they sent me another bad phone... I went through 7 damn touch pros that had the keyboards die on me, i hate to say it but i dont think my next phone will be HTC.
