Why not use google voice?. Get pick 3 or call home, add google voice number and and all incoming calls to google voice and outgoing (through google voice) are free (usa & canada)

No reason why not... that's a great option. deadwrong03 had asked what skype could be used for, so I mentioned this.
On a sidenote, Sprint no longer seems to offer pick3 (at least that is their official stand - some users seem to get it, but I haven't been able to) - so that GV option doesn't really save me any minutes. For the folks who already have pick3 or callhome option, GV is a neat option.

Lol, I started this thread. I also mentioned "call home" option. maybe you can add google voice number as call home number. Guess I was lucky to get pick 3 for free with SERO when I told them that I wanna extend my contract (which they never did ).

yeah... the sprint to home is about $5 a month.. http://shop.sprint.com/en/services/c..._to_home.shtml
Skype worked out cheaper for me - their annual unlimited US calling is less than $3 a month
But I agree - for those who got in with the pick 3 were lucky I had to settle for the plain 'ol Sero (not looking forward to the SERO price increase later this year - but that's another topic)

Re: looking for a working skype cab for 6.5

hey, I got a n00b question that could probably be solved if I just INSTALLED it and saw for myself, but does this cab let you receive video? I know the back-facing camera on the TP2 wouldn't allow for ME to send video logically, but could I see someone else's?

is this $ 10 increase forced upon SERO members or anyone who wants to get an android can pay $10 extra and get an android phone?. I don't want to leave WM, it's very convenient (even WM 6.5 kinda sux)

Nothing official yet - rumor (sprinusers) has it that as long as you don't want to change your phone over to android, you can continue with the existing $30 plan. Dunno

Should be close... Oct 2010 is when the new rates come in... and Nov 2010 is when they expect WP7 phones to come out.... Hopefully, they will have a WP7 worldphone (with SIM slot like the TP2)
