facebook issues??

I just tried it with DATA OFF and WIFI ON. Didnt updatr the photos...

I created a new contact, then linked it to facebook.. photo didnt come up... then went into the contact, edited it.. Clicked to select photo... I see the choice for FACEBOOK PROFILE AND I scan see the photo.... I select that and the photo doesnt save into my contacts... any ideas??

ALSO when you link the contact, on the left of the name where the photo should be, all you get is the silhouette and not the photo.. I really wonder if there is an issue with FACEBOOK and SENSE

Just sent an email to HTC to see what is up..

HOWEVER, I bet this is a FACEBOOK ISSUE.. WHY DO I THINK SO? Because the microsoft facebook 1.2 application doesnt connect correctly .. it connects and then I get the SPINNING CURSOR which BLINKS and it never finishes.. I can move around TABS and EXIT, so the program isnt frozen...

Just testing something....


I changed my facebook profile photo (using my windows XP PC) and it brought my NEW profile photo over to the phone.. BUT it doesnt bring ANY of my contacts that are linked....

Any ideas?

did the same as you but with wifi connected and it got them all

didnt work for me but NOW my phone randomally erase the WINDOWS DIRECTORY and hard reset (2nd time)

Something more strange... I had my TP2 CRASH so I used and SPB backup to restore my phone to Saturday.. when it was done.. SOME of my contacts now HAD FACEBOOK PHOTOS and OTHERS DIDNT.. I then UNLINKED MY ACCOUNT FROM FACEBOOK and RE-LINKED THEM and now AGAIN, all the contacts dont have any photos.. even EVENTS had photos and now they dont.. is there maybe a corrupt data file I can delete to fix this?

I have to log in every time I use the app. Anybody else have this problem? Is there a fix for this?

Well as of right now, I was able to reload the facbook APP from the app store onto the MEMORY card and that one works (the one cooked into the rom doesnt). I am also able to connect to facebook on SENSE and I can get updates of events and contact STATUS but it doesnt save contact photos.. I did find a program that does this seperate from facebook.. its in the app store

OK here is an update.. my phone rang and one of the contacts that doesnt show the facebook photo came up with the photo while phone was ringing.. HOWEVER.. once I answered the phone,, the contact photo was gone.... HMMM... any ideas on this?
