Saving text messages?

Hi, I have a touch pro 2 with stock wm 6.5. Is there a way to save the messages into a text file without using any third party application? I know with my palm centro before, I would copy and paste the text messages into a text file but for the tp2, I can find that option? Is it possible?

Re: Saving text messages?

if you tap and hold the message in question a menu will pop up with the option "make selection" if you choose that it'll go into copy/paste mode then you can drag your finger/stylus over the text you want then copy paste to a word document

jbearamus,

Thank you. I was playing around with it earlier but didn't even notice that. Thanks. It worked just like you said. What I was doing before was selecting "select all messages" under the menu option, which was apparently different.

Re: Saving text messages?

I know you said you didnt want a 3rd party application, but the Microsoft MyPhone app, works great at backing up text messages as well as pretty much everything else on your phone.

yup, "select all messages" is for deleting the thread which is kind of stupid since you can leave the thread then just long press the thread you want gone

anyway, glad it worked for ya!
